AGZ - Quality & Testing

Go ahead and relax.

From clinically studied key ingredients that support rest to rigorous third-party testing, AGZ is grounded in quality—so you can focus on your health. It’s also NSF Certified for Sport®, the gold standard in independent safety and quality testing.

NSF Certified for Sport®

AGZ is proudly NSF Certified for Sport®, one of the most rigorous independent quality and safety certification programs in the supplement industry.

NSF conducts annual audits of our manufacturing facilities, reviews ingredients for toxicology, and ensures AGZ label claims are accurate. Additionally, the organization third-party tests AGZ for over 280 banned substances.

Certificate of analysis

Each batch of AGZ is tested for a panel of quality and purity analytes, including microbial contaminants, heavy metals, allergens, and banned substances. As part of routine testing, we also test for chemical compounds like caffeine and oxalates.

The Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document that contains our testing report and the results based on safe limits and specifications.

SEE THE RESULTS:

Heavy metals

Anything that comes from the ground, including fruits, vegetables, and even drinking water, is likely to contain some heavy metals.

AGZ is tested to ensure levels of heavy metals are below the guidelines set by US Pharmacopeia (USP) and NSF International, two independent, third-party organizations that set rigorous standards for safety, quality, and compliance. USP guidelines are widely used as a regulatory standard for pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements and food ingredients. AGZ tests lower than these guidelines.

THIS INCLUDES:
  • Lead

  • Mercury

  • Cadmium

  • Arsenic

Allergens

We do not formulate with wheat, dairy, egg, or peanut-containing ingredients. Plus, our manufacturing facilities adhere to strict allergen and validated cleaning protocols, to reduce chances of cross-contamination.

WE TEST FOR COMMON ALLERGENS:
  • Gluten (Wheat, Rye, Barley) (<20ppm)

  • Milk

  • Egg

  • Peanut

Pesticides & herbicides

Chemicals used in agriculture can disrupt the gut and immune system, decreasing or blocking nutrient absorption.

Rather than relying solely on our suppliers and our rigorous internal standards, we periodically conduct additional third-party testing for pesticides and herbicides.

INCLUDING:
  • Glyphosate: an herbicide and commonly used weed killer in conventional farming

  • AMPA: a byproduct of glyphosate

Microbes & toxins

Microbial testing is crucial for ensuring AGZ is safe to drink on a nightly basis.

WE TEST FOR:
  • Harmful bacteria, including Salmonella, E. coli, and Staphylococcus.

  • Molds and yeasts that have been linked to immune disruption.

  • Microbes that can produce toxic substances like mycotoxins and aflatoxins.

Banned substances

As a product NSF Certified for Sport®, AGZ is tested for over 280 substances banned by major sporting organizations to mitigate risks of consuming contaminated, adulterated supplements.

BANNED SUBSTANCES INCLUDE:
  • Anabolic Agents & Beta Blockers

  • Beta-agonists & Diuretics

  • Hormone Antagonists

  • Masking Agents

  • Narcotics/Cannabinoids

  • Stimulants

  • Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators

  • Metabolic Modulators

  • Growth Hormone Secretagogues

Residual solvents

Residual solvents are volatile chemicals that can result from processing procedures such as extraction of plant parts and purification of ingredients. While testing for residual solvents was initially developed for pharmaceuticals, as part of our program, AGZ is tested for all 3 classes of solvents, including acetone and ethanol.

Nutritional testing

AGZ tests for nutritional content to ensure that the amounts stated on the label are what you get in the product. Nutritional testing is vital to ensuring the efficacy of the formula, and that you receive what you are paying for.

Sensory experience

Developing an efficacious and great tasting multi-ingredient product is no small feat, especially without adding sugar. Taste is an obsession of ours. Every batch of AGZ undergoes a systematic evaluation of sensory characteristics like aroma, taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste. We conduct a science-based sensory testing program with a third party to ensure the consistency of the AGZ flavor.

THE NATURAL FLAVORS IN AGZ ARE DERIVED FROM PLANTS AND DO NOT INCLUDE:
  • Artificial sweeteners

  • Added sugar

  • Erythritol

  • MSG

FAQs

Has AGZ been tested for heavy metals?

AGZ is tested to ensure levels of heavy metals are below the guidelines set by US Pharmacopeia (USP) and NSF International, two independent, third-party organizations that set rigorous standards for safety, quality, and compliance. USP guidelines are widely used as regulatory standard for pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements and food ingredients. AGZ tests significantly lower than these guidelines.

Is AGZ organic?

While AGZ is not certified organic, we go beyond relying solely on suppliers and our own internal standards by periodically conducting additional third-party testing for pesticides and herbicides—including glyphosate, a widely used herbicide, and AMPA, its primary byproduct. We use high quality ingredients that are GMO-free and ensure our ingredients meet rigorous standards for safety and purity.

Is AGZ suitable for people with certain food allergies?

We do not formulate with wheat, dairy, egg, or peanut-containing ingredients and we test for common allergens:
