Tested for those who test themselves.

We rigorously test our formula for hundreds of contaminants and impurities to guarantee we’re delivering the highest quality nutrients available. And AG1 is NSF Certified for Sport®, the gold standard in independent quality and safety certifications.

Third-party certifications

AG1 is proudly NSF Certified for Sport®, one of the most rigorous independent quality and safety certification programmes in the supplement industry.

NSF conducts annual audits of our manufacturing facilities, reviews ingredients for toxicology, and ensures AG1 label claims are accurate. Additionally, the organisation third-party tests AG1 for over 280 banned substances.

Certificate of analysis

Each batch of AG1 is tested for a panel of quality and purity analytes, including microbial contaminants, heavy metals, allergens, and banned substances. As part of routine testing, we also test for chemical compounds like caffeine and oxalates.

The Certificate of Analysis is a document that contains our testing report and the results based on safe limits and specifications.

Heavy metals

Anything that comes from the ground, including fruits, vegetables, and even drinking water, has the potential to naturally contain some heavy metals.

AG1 is tested to ensure levels of heavy metals are below the guidelines set by US Pharmacopeia (USP) and NSF International, two independent, third-party organisations that set rigorous standards for safety, quality, and compliance. USP guidelines are widely used as a regulatory standard for pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements and food ingredients.

THIS INCLUDES:
  • Lead

  • Mercury

  • Cadmium

  • Arsenic

Allergens

We do not formulate with wheat, dairy, egg, or peanut-containing ingredients. Plus, our manufacturing facilities adhere to strict allergen and validated cleaning protocols, to reduce chances of cross-contamination.

WE TEST FOR COMMON ALLERGENS:
  • Gluten (Wheat, Rye, Barley) (Not detected)

  • Milk

  • Egg

  • Peanut

Pesticides & herbicides

Chemicals used in agriculture can disrupt the gut and immune system, decreasing or blocking nutrient absorption.

Rather than relying on supplier testing, we third party test AG1 for over 500 pesticides and herbicides.

INCLUDING:
  • Glyphosate: a herbicide and commonly used weed killer in conventional farming

  • AMPA: a byproduct of glyphosate

  • Atrazine: The second-most commonly used pesticide after glyphosate

Microbes & toxins

Microbial testing is crucial for ensuring AG1 is safe to drink on a long-term daily basis.

WE RULE OUT:
  • Harmful bacteria, including Salmonella, E. coli, and Staphylococcus.

  • Molds and yeasts that have been linked to immune disruption.

  • Microbes that can produce toxic substances like mycotoxins and aflatoxins.

Banned substances

Professional and Olympic athletes have relied on AG1 for their nutrition and performance for over a decade. As a product NSF Certified for Sport®, AG1 is tested for over 280 substances banned by major sporting organisations to mitigate risks of consuming contaminated, adulterated supplements.

BANNED SUBSTANCES INCLUDE:
  • Anabolic agents & beta blockers

  • Beta-agonists & diuretics

  • Hormone antagonists

  • Masking agents

  • Narcotics/cannabinoids

  • Stimulants

  • Selective androgen receptor modulators

  • Metabolic modulators

  • Growth hormone secretagogues

Residual solvents

Residual solvents are volatile chemicals that can result from processing procedures such as extraction of plant parts and purification of ingredients. While testing for residual solvents was initially developed for pharmaceuticals, as part of our programmes, AG1 is tested for all 3 classes of solvents, including acetone and ethanol.

Nutritional testing

AG1 tests for nutritional content to ensure that the amounts stated on the label are what you get in the product. Nutritional testing is vital to ensuring the efficacy of the formula, and that you receive what you are paying for.

Sensory experience

Taste is an obsession of ours. Every batch of AG1 undergoes a systematic evaluation of sensory characteristics like aroma, taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste. We conduct a science-based sensory testing program with a third-party to ensure the consistency of the AG1 flavour.

THE NATURAL FLAVOURS IN AG1 ARE DERIVED FROM PLANTS AND DO NOT INCLUDE:
  • Artificial sweeteners

  • Added sugar

  • Erythritol

  • MSG
