Research-backed Ingredients

NSF Certified for Sport®

Trusted by leading
scientist and athletes

Safety

Every batch is screened for 280+ substances banned by professional sports organizations worldwide. This isn't just for athletes; the certification provides reassurance that AG1 products have been tested and certified for quality, purity, and safety for everyone.

Testing

Naturally occurring heavy metals are present in plant-based ingredients through soil and water. We test every batch for lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic to confirm levels fall well below the thresholds set by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and NSF International.

AG1 IS TESTED FOR HEAVY METALS, INCLUDING:
  • Lead

  • Mercury

  • Cadmium

  • Arsenic

Allergen Screening

We do not formulate with wheat, dairy, egg, or peanut-containing ingredients and we verify this on the labels and COAs. Our manufacturing facilities adhere to strict allergen and validated cleaning protocols to reduce the chances of cross-contamination.

WE TEST FOR COMMON ALLERGENS:
  • Gluten (Wheat, Rye, Barley) (<20ppm)

  • Milk allergen

  • Egg allergen

  • Peanut allergen

Integrity

We partner with Alkemist Labs—a leader in botanical and nutraceutical testing—to confirm the identity and potency of raw botanical ingredients that go into our products. Through advanced analytical methods, Alkemist Labs independently validates consistency in our product quality from batch to batch.

Transparency

Each batch of AG1 is tested for a panel of quality and purity analytes, including microbial contaminants, heavy metals, allergens, and banned substances. As part of routine testing, we also test for chemical compounds like caffeine and oxalates. The Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document that contains our testing report and the results based on safe limits and specifications.

WE TEST FOR :
  • Unwanted bacteria: Harmful bacteria like Salmonella, E. coli, or Staphylococcus.

  • Fungal contamination: Molds and yeasts that have been linked to immune disruption.

  • Toxin production: Some microbes can produce toxic substances like mycotoxins and aflatoxins.

Potency

We test all 75+ ingredients to ensure the levels on the label match exactly what enters your body.

Nutritional potency can degrade during manufacturing or storage. We verify every ingredient against label specifications to make sure you're getting exactly what's promised. This is also where our NSF Certified for Sport® testing goes deeper, covering categories including anabolic agents, stimulants, hormone antagonists, diuretics, and growth hormone secretagogues.

TESTING INCLUDES:
  • Anabolic Agents & Beta Blockers

  • Beta-agonists & Diuretics

  • Hormone Antagonists

  • Masking Agents

  • Narcotics/Cannabinoids

  • Stimulants

  • Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators

  • Metabolic Modulators

  • Growth Hormone Secretagogues

Experience

Every batch undergoes independent, third-party evaluation of both taste and aroma to ensure that what reaches the customer is consistent with what was formulated, batch after batch. Plus, this high standard for sensory excellence is achieved without resorting to artificial sweeteners.

Glossary

United States Pharmacopeia: A non-profit organization that sets the rigorous, global standards for the identity, strength, quality, and purity of medicines and dietary supplements.

High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography: An advanced form of analytical chemistry used for “botanical fingerprinting” to verify the exact species and potency of a plant.

Certificate of Analysis: A formal document issued by our quality control department that confirms a specific batch meets its product specifications and purity requirements.

Parts Per Million: The international analytical threshold for gluten-free certification. It ensures that even the most sensitive individuals can trust the product’s integrity.

National Sanitation Foundation: An independent organization that facilitates the “Certified for Sport®” program, testing for 280+ banned substances.

Aminomethylphosphonic acid: A primary metabolic byproduct of glyphosate; we test for this to ensure total agricultural cleanliness beyond simple surface residues.
