Dr. Grant Tinsley

PhD — Energy Balance & Body Composition

Dr. Grant Tinsley is an Associate Professor and Director of the Energy Balance & Body Composition Laboratory at Texas Tech University. His research focuses on how nutrition, exercise, and energy balance influence body composition, metabolic health, and physical performance across diverse populations. He has published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles and led over 20 externally funded research projects. Dr. Tinsley holds a PhD in Kinesiology, Exercise Nutrition, and Health Promotion from Baylor University and is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.
