Dr. Marcas Bamman is Senior Research Scientist and Director of Healthspan, Resilience, and Performance Research at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition and Professor Emeritus at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. His work focuses on how exercise and stress resilience influence aging, recovery, and long-term health outcomes, with research supported by the NIH and Department of Defense. He has published more than 190 scientific papers and served in multiple leadership roles across national research initiatives, including NIH rehabilitation and exercise medicine programs. Dr. Bamman is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and has spent decades advancing translational human research.
