Beta Glucan Facts

Beta-glucans are naturally occurring soluble fibers found in oats, barley, and mushrooms. They form gels in the digestive tract and also interact with immune cells.

Key Benefits of Beta Glucan:

  • Promote satiety.
  • Support normal immune activity by priming defense cells.

Why it Matters:

Only 7% of Americans consume the recommended fiber ¹. Fiber intake in the U.S. averages ~15 g/day vs. recommended 25–38 g/day.

Mushroom-derived beta-glucans are widely studied for immune function. ²
