Reishi Mushroom Facts

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a mushroom used in traditional wellness practices for centuries. It grows naturally on hardwood trees and contains biologically active compounds such as beta-glucans (polysaccharides), triterpenes, peptides, polyphenols, and minerals. These compounds have been studied for their roles in supporting immune health, antioxidant defense, and the body's response to everyday stressors.

Key Benefits of Reishi Mushroom:

  • Supports immune health through beta-glucans that support normal immune function.
  • Provides antioxidant compounds that help protect cells from oxidative stress, contributing to healthy aging.

Why it Matters:

Oxidative stress is linked to cellular aging and everyday challenges, ¹, diets rich in antioxidants, including mushrooms, are associated with maintenance of cellular health and vitality.
Shiitake's beta-glucans work synergistically with other mushroom-derived polysaccharides (e.g., from shiitake) to support immune readiness.
